Using other people's RSS content on your site - how is SEO affected

    Hi,

I am wondering how using other site's RSS feed for content my site affects my site in the eyes of the SERPs?

For example, take a look at this popular soccer site (ESPN) : http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...399046&cc=5739

See how under the topic there is MADRID, Jan 7 (Reuters) ... this is an actual rss feed from Reuters.

If I did something like that, would the SERPs punish me?

    Cheers

It's duplicate content. It will be filtered out by Google and is virtually worthless. Original quality content is what is needed for SEO.
