    Change the rules

So when do rules become one sided? You guys should just change them.

    to answer your question...

when it crosses the line of what's allowed

now, please don't argue this point, you asked, and that's the answer -- a post get deleted when a moderator thinks the post has crossed the line

    it's as simple as that

don't cross the line, and your post doesn't get deleted

    simple, yes?

"and where," i can hear you asking, "is the line?"

that's easy, my friend, that's easy

when you keep pushing at the boundaries they way you do, consequently you, by having some of your posts deleted and not others, are one of the best experts on exactly where that line is here at sitepoint

    simple, yes?

Not really because of the one sided thing. Here is my side of it.

I came to sp to get away from such topics. I feel safe when such rules as you have are strictly followed even if it is only slightly down the wrong side of things.

When it comes to such topics ppl such as myself are obligated to post as I did because of what I mentioned. And as such I will report religious topics myself because I do not want sp making that mistake.

Its the same with politics. If I posted a thread "Who created George Bush" it would be deleted right then. The same should apply for both categories.

Anyhow thats my rantings for now I suppose. I see red when such things happen as they did because it is not being treated as fairly as I would for the above mentioned reasons.

Rules and such as these keep all members safe and happy. It is also fair if followed strictly and allows for a true successful international community.

We treat every thread, post, and user the same under the rules. We make judgments individually on each situation, but it is all based on the same rules and no one gets special treatment.

If you think we've removed a thread and missed others that deserve removal, feel free to report them and make us aware of the situation.
