Different blinking pointers in forms

Hi guys,

I have a strong curiosity about the blinking pointers that appear when an input element has focus. The ones that I design have a simple vertical pointer, but I have seen on the Adobe.com site (and others too) that their search form pointer differs from mine in that their's have another tiny little line on the upper side of the vertical pointer (only in Firefox). Does anyone knows why? I tend to believe this somehow lets us know that that form has a higher level of security but I didn't find anything while searching the web.
