Question Bld your own ASP.NET 2.0 site; Ch. 5 example question

Question about using the master page in chapter 5 of the subject Sitepoint book. When I debug the page it renders the Content below the sitemap like it's shown in the Fig. 5.40 (pg 198) instead of beside the sitemap as shown in Fig. 5.44 (pg. 201). How can I control the content location?

Double check the html in the master page--I suspect you are not closing a table or div somewhere.

'my code' (which is from pg. 196-197)

I'm thinking that the code I've copied may be doing what it's supposed to do and I've missed something between the two figures in the book that would render the content next to the sitemap menu instead of below it.

    ah-ha!

The problem appears to be in the CSS code or lack thereof. My thanks to all who didn't respond so I could figure this out on my own. Even if it did take 3 "spare time" days. Still 3 "spare time" days well spent.

Don't forget to use a DOCTYPE with your document. From the looks of things, I'd go with XHTML 1.0 Strict .
