CSS Background Issue

I've worked on a simple gallery hosting site and there is an issue with the background image which fades from blue to white. There is still sections when you scroll down where the blue appears and im unsure how to remove this. Anybody any ideas? Thanks

Validate your site first, you'll find there's a lot bigger problems than just your background images. I suspect you can fix that by removing the repeat from something resembling {background: url(something.jpg) repeat} in your CSS.

Hi,

I'd simplify this here using shorthand.

body { background: white url(background.gif) repeat-x top left;}

I'd remove <td height="20" background="images/layout_02.gif"> and edit the banner image and save as gif/png with transparency so the gradient shows through.
A quick and nasty fix would be

<td height="20" style="background: white url(images/layout_02.gif) no-repeat top left;">
