recently i updated / redesigned my site and am now getting a strange thing happening when i connect. if i connect to my address omitting the www. then i see what i want, but if the www. is included in the address, i get an old page which in fact does not even exist on the server anymore. i've purged my cache, re-booted my machine, etc. numerous time and this still happens. anyone have any idea why? thanks for all input.

It's likely some sort of DNS updating type of thing, because it works just fine on my machine...is your webhost dragging it's feet in one way or another? I don't know if this is a DNB updating problem, but it's the only thing that comes to mind...

Actually its more likely your ISP's caching Proxy server. They have the old page cached and it will take them a while to get rid of it. The reason your new page showed up without the www is because the proxy sees it as a different address.

Goshdarnitt Wayne, you're just too clever for me. I knew it was something "like" that, though!
