    HostRocket had an outage earlier today. I am with them too. It is the first time I had experienced an outage with them, but then again it has been only a week. My site hasn't launched yet, so it didn't cause any problems.

    When HostRocket is down, http://you.hostrocket.com will NOT work. However, when you are changing nameservers or setting up HostRocket, http://you.hostrocket.com will work.

    It's HR's fault this time...

    I just joined HostRocket. At first, I thought I had really made the right choice. I cannot access my site, email, or anything else. What happened to 99.5% uptime? Is this gonna be a regular thing?!?

    I know this is the wrong Forum to put this in. I just happened to be in this forum when I discovered that HostRocket was down, and I was so mad, I didn't know what I was doing! Sorry!

    Your site, RTS Design, appears to be up. Maybe it's your ISP's fault.

    When you're having trouble with HostRocket, try and see if yourdomain.hostrocket.com works...more often than not it will. That means it's probably not HR's fault. (yourdomain is WITHOUT the .com or .org, etc.)

    Thanks Aidan for clearing that up. My page was up when you went to it d3v, but earlier that day, or the better part of the day, I or no one else was able to view HostRocket, or the member's pages. The reason was that they had to Reload/Update via the phone that day. I am still unable to access FTP, but maybe that will be fixed shortly!

    No problem

    I still can't log into FTP. It's been like this all day long.

    Also I have been waiting for more than 50 hours for support to respond to an e-mail i sent regardging statistics.

    Okay I thought that might be the case, ReSSure but just wanted to let you know how it worked out for me.

    I seriously hope HostRocket clears this up really quickly because they were one of my prime candidates to host my new site...

    Well good luck to you guys and hopefully 'hostfree.cc' will come to post here.

    Well, sorry TRC. My site and FTP works. That is about all that works for me, but at least I can do some things! HostRocket needs to get their act togethor. Too bad, I paid for the year, and it looks as though I should not have!

    Well if they have been down 2 days (48 hours) then their uptime thus far will have been 100 - ( ( 48 / 8784 ) * 100 ) = 99.453551912568306010928961748634% (It's a leap year so there an extra 24 hours in a year) so not the 99.9% is claimed, not even 99.5% that is mentioned on the front page either. I notice however that they don't guarantee the uptime figures they state, if they did then you could get out of your 1 year contract with them through breach of contract.

    FTP is still down, it's been about 24 hours now.

    I still haven't recieved my e-mail. It's been quite some time now too.

    I am also still not able to get onto FTP. It wou;d be ok if I could get into the control panel, but it is messed up. Maybe all of this will be fixed VERY soon. I hope so! I don't know why your email wasn't answered TRC, but it seems like they would have at least sent a very short email saying they would get to it ASAP. I am guessing that they are busy this week, because usually they are on HumanClick all the time giving answers. I will be going on vacation in a short while, I sure hope they didn't! Well, TRC and I will keep you all posted!

    PS: d3v, I am not gonna tell you to host or not to host with them. I have only been with them for about a week, so I don't know yet if this will be something that happens a lot.

    This is the reason we switched from Hypermart.... to avoid downtime.

    I know eradtke, hold on, let me go to their site!...Their site is taking forever to load, and mine did too! What is going on?!? Ok, I found it! "99.9%+ Uptime" Right off their page! Please let me know if I am wrong, but 2 days is more than 99.9%+ right!?! Well, they have not been on in a while giving tech support, now I know why! Well it is 12:32 Eastern, and still no FTP! It has been like this for 2 days now! One thumb down!!!

    Loading slowly for me too...prepare to stick the second thumb down.

    A friend of mine contacted them and they mentioned something about a server upgrade...I cannot confirm nor deny this, but I sure hope it's true...I don't have a site hosted there (thank God)...

    If I were that "hostfree.cc" guy I'd post here ASAP and try to apologize for all this...and you're right, for it to come out to 99.99% uptime it'd have to be up basically the rest of the year without problem.

    Well, I was about to put another thumb down! But at 2:00 Eastern today, I tried it again, and FTP worked! I don't know exactly when it did go up, but I know it was somewhere between 12 ans 2 Eastern! Also TWT, I talked with them some yesterday. That was when they were down that morning, and the sites were not viewable. The reason was, was that they were updating/reloading via the phone. Although, they could not get into TelNet to fix the problem, but said that FTP should be up later that day. That was about this time yesterday!

    I don't know if you saw it yet TRC, but HostFree (HostRocket) responded to your Statistics post asking what your username and domain is. They are not on right now, they seem to come and go very quickly! But yes, FTP is working again!

    They are not helping their business much are they TRC? If they continue on with this.....I will most likely switch after my year is up. I am hoping that all of this is a one time thing! (HOPING!)

    It's noon now, and not a word yet. Everything else is working now, though.

    I am going to send another e-mail to them now, hopefully this time I will get a response.

    If they didn't ever get the original mail, that could have been related to the downtime, and if that is the case, then it isn't their fault.

    Almost everything is working fine. I am still unable to access the online control panel, I have already told them about that, but still no fix. They have not been on for tech support for almost 3 days straight! What's the deal HR?
