    Okay, here goes.

i've been asked to write up some forms (about 80-90 very complicated forms in one month). each form will occupy several pages...how can i capture the information from each section as i go to the next page and then the final page?

furthermore, would cookies be the best alternative if someone was into the sixth page of the form and needed to get off the net but would have to come back and have the info still there? or at least be able to retreive the info?

i need help! please it's urgent!

    thanks in advance,

    - sam

Which scripting languages are available to you? It really depends on that because each language has a different way to retrieve cookies and form variables.

Cookies would in fact be one of the only ways, since their IP would likely change when they got off and on again. Maybe a login would also be good, if they're on another computer accessing the form.

they would be on one computer at a time so cookies could work.

it would probably reside on a unix box...but maybe NT.

    javascript.

i may have access to perl, but that would probably mean that I would have to go through some red tape to acquire that help. or i could try to pick up the language in a few days (whatever!).

    any suggestions?
