Drop down boxes

Anyone know of a place where I can get information on creating spiffy drop down boxes. Client doesn't want your typical drop down box. I'm thinking it will have to be a javascript code of some sort, but I'm clueless.. any ideas?

What is the difference in your mind between a "typical" drop-down box and a "spiffy" drop-down box?

Could you provide a more specific description?

yeah, they don't want your typical drop down box (grey with down arrow - like the ones used for forms)... Basically what they want is something that drops down a list of states, and when they click on that state a new page with information on that state would appear. My other problem is that the new "drop down box" will have to be functioning within a frame (in the main page) Hope that helps.
