Why isnt my <link rel="stylesheet"... XHTML 1.1 valid?
I am having a problem getting part of my code to validate in XHTML 1.1 Strict.
The offending line is
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/wideTemplateStyles.css" type="text/css" />
This is the error I am given:
Error Line 19 column 100: character data is not allowed here.
...TemplateStyles.css" type="text/css" />
You have used character data somewhere it is not permitted to appear. Mistakes that can cause this error include putting text directly in the body of the document without wrapping it in a container element (such as a <p>aragraph</p>) or forgetting to quote an attribute value (where characters such as "%" and "/" are common, but cannot appear without surrounding quotes).
Thanks, i'm scratching my head for this!
