    Ghost validation error

Every time I run my markup through validation I get this error:

Error Line 131 column 6: character data is not allowed here.

    <ul><li><a href="http://mysite.com/2006/11/30/chis-debu

You have used character data somewhere it is not permitted to appear. Mistakes that can cause this error include putting text directly in the body of the document without wrapping it in a container element (such as a <p>aragraph</p>) or forgetting to quote an attribute value (where characters such as "%" and "/" are common, but cannot appear without surrounding quotes).
I check my code and there's nothing there. What's causing this and how can I fix it? Thank you.

In order to get help with this, you'll need to show your code. Either leave a link to your page, a link to the validation page, or use the Site Point code tags ( [ code ] [ /code ] without the spaces) to show your html.

From what you've given here ... I'll assume that you have ??? somewhere in your code between the <ul> and <li> ... which you can't.

But ... Like Shyflower said, without seeing the code ... it's hard to say.

Try removing any white-space from between the <ul> and the <li> - your text editor might have put something spurious in there.

What leads you to believe this without even seeing the code? Don't be ridiculous.

Your encoding is probably wrong especially if you have 'REPLACEMENT CHARACTER' (U+FFFD) () appearing. It also looks like you probably have unclosed elements or text appearing outside them.

I checked and checked then found out it's the plugin I'm using. I downloaded the new version where the problem of the weird characters is fixed. Thanks anyway!
