Recently I have created a cellphone store. My target customers are US based only and I have obtained all necessary licence to run the store. I have setup a monthly budget of $2500 to promote my site. I dont want to disclose the name of store as it will be a shameless advertising.
I am looking for advice from you that whats the best way to use this money to get a higher ROI. Do you think I should go for Advertising networks or Go for link promotions?
I am looking for other areas apart from PPC's, real world promotion techniques.
Along with PPC I would find some "Cell Phone" related sites to directly advertise on and track the success for future advertising.
Surround your site with good "Cell Phone" related content. Many of our customers have great success with online stores when they have content related to that store surrounding it. For example, Cell Phone articles get indexed people find the article about a particular cell phone and see you sell it. Articles could be anything from fixing, reviews, how to use, etc.
Buying links is a bad idea in my eyes, a better idea would be to do a link exchange with a couple related sites that have a decent page count.
Try eBay... Try selling something's on eBay, even if they don't sell a well written product can plug your website. Many people looking for a "cell phone" on eBay could come across your auction and visit your website.
$2000 in CPC which can break to :
$1500 in adwords
$500 in smaller networks (eg. goClick)
With this budget for CPC you will find a way (after some time of course) to make more than you spend
$500 for blog posts, and SEO related promotion. This can be a few good and relevant links to your site, and some blog posts from highly accepted blogs in your niche.
