Thumbs up Cowboy Bebop - Sick Anime

I just got Cowboy Bebop session 1 in the mail (DVD). Expensive, special order and very much worth it! If you are a designer or have any interest in Art Direction you have to check out this series. I watched it with friends and everyone went gaa-gaa over it.

I know that anime has influenced very popular films such as The Matrix. But I guess people aren't exposed to it as much in the western world. Looks like quality stuff, reminds me of FPS video games.

I'm a big fan of Bebop. I've seen the entire series and the movie and have all the soundtracks in mp3 (even that crappy Remixes for Freelance). It's one of those hit or miss shows. Most people I know love it because there's a bit of everything for everybody: sci-fi, guns, violence, comedy, drama, big-busted scantily-clad women (just some!), hackers, and more. Others simply don't like it because it's too "stylized" (whatever that means). The thing I enjoy most probably is the music, by Yoko Kanno. It also has one of the best English dubs I've heard yet, and I'm a sub-purist, most of the time.

Episode 5, Ballad of Fallen Angels, is by far my favorite episode, and Faye Valentine is my hero
    My mom thinks I'm cool!
