Hi,
For services which offer real VOD (e.g. billing per second/minute, user accounts, db integration, DRM etc.) you're not going to be able to get that using just a simple script and will likely involve custom development.
IIRC AEBN uses ObjectCube's streaming server/service for most of their WMV content, but this is a high cost option, see: http://www.objectcube.com/technology/cms.html for more info.
If you're looking for DRM lock-ins, it's not going to be possible with any Flash based streaming service (e.g. a YouTube/PornoTube clone) because it simply doesn't offer that amount of restriction - so you're going to have to side with one of the media giants (e.g. choosing a Microsoft WMV, or RealPlayer based solution).
Congratulations, you've now entered a market with a huge startup-cost
I don't think it would be too expensive to come up with something like what I need. Maybe my post was misunderstood.
If you check out Xtube.com, they have something similiar too. Its simply a script that shows all of their DVD's available for download and each is cut up into scenes. This is not a pay per minute structure.
I actually think this particualr script would be easy to replicate, but I am looking for an existing one because I like their use of interconnecting the DVD's with common artists, studios etc.
In a way its similar to IMDB,where its just a whole bunch of interconnecting tables showing data, where you can click on Movie, and click the actors name and be taken to all their movies. Just on a smaller scale and with DVD's.
Do you know anywhere I could find a script like that? I am sure it wouldnt be too hard to program, but when your paying a programmer, the more you can supply them the less it costs!
