Where to advertise automotive forum?

Hey guys,

I am looking for some general ideas where to market a make specific car forum?

It is not practical to advertise on other car forums because of the competition factor, so I've been looking for some complimentary sites. However, the only thing I can think of would be parts dealers.

Any other ideas?

If it's like Ford Trucks, or Chevy Corvettes, ect.... When you see one, put a business card on their windsheild.

Try to get a lot of content first, such as posts, and then you can start to get search engine traffic coming. I would also go to some car shows and hand out flyers, or specialist car clubs. They would probably be very interested.

I am getting alot of posts/information. The site is getting indexed alot on google, etc. But I am looking for ways to drive a bunch of traffic to give it a boost.

Depending on what sort of money you have, you could purchase advertising on car sales websites, such as drive.com.au and carsales.com.au in Australia.

Though whilst these ones may give you the best return (thanks to their massive userbase) they will of course burn a hole in your back pocket rather quickly

That allusive "boost" is hard to find. In fact i dont think a way is possible!

I think the question would have to be is if anybody here has had a boost and where you got it from?

You can definitely get good traffic boosts through banner advertising, its just a matter of finding where your target audience is hiding.
