Image Gallery script

Hello,

i need an image gallery script where people make account and have their own albums

something like FlickR (not a flickr close )

all scripts i found are either for 1 user or for users uploading to pre-defined categories

but i need it personal photo albums so people have their own page for their photos

anyone knows such script ?

open source/free preferred

I've spent the last week searching various forums and search engines for similar. I intend to post a list of my findings shortly. In the meantime the script that attracts me most is photohost from ktools.net. It does come at a price but I believe it does what you may require.

Take a look at gallery2

I've used it embedded in drupal with great results.

There are a few other drupal photo gallery projects that are worth a look.

actually i installed gallery2 already but i kinda got lost in it

i need simpler one

any other alternatives ?

There's coppermine, but I think it's a lot more awkward to use than gallery2.

I've been meaning to take a closer look at this to see if it's multiuser or not: http://www.sgal.org/

Lifetype is a blog hosting script that gives users galleries as well. You might be able to do something with that.

those are based on "categories" and only admin can make categories and users fill those categories

i need something like

user registers account > makes new album > upload photos to the album > link to the album in nay place

Lifetype has free tagging. It's just confusing because each user has an "admin" panel. It lets you run a blog hosting service like blogger and those blogs have galleries.

If you also want users to be able to blog, using some of the WordPress gallery plugins can be a good idea. On the other hand, you can use some of the scripts, mentioned above, and integrate it with WordPress.
