    Good book?

Is "Winning Results with Google AdWords" by Andrew Goldman a good book for someone new to PPC? Is there a better or more up to date book?

    Thanks

I'm not sure how much that book costs, but if its cheap you can pick it up and then let us sitepoint users knows if its thumbs up or thumbs down. You can find out that information though just from browsing through these forums on a everyday basis. You will be suprised on how much information you can take in just be reading and participating in conversations.

Perry Marshall has a "Definitive Guide to Google Adwords" e-book (http://www.perrymarshall.com/google/index.htm). I bought it a few years ago. I thought it was pretty good (at least for someone like myself who had no background in PPC).

Don't buy this books they are made to earn money. They say they are rich but actually they get rich writing and selling this books. I read some of this books and they were showing links to other books. A quote : " If you want to record your Google Adsense buy this book that a friend wrote ...." and many things like this.

I really don't get why people buy these books?

Know how the writers made money off adsense? By selling worthless books to people looking to make money off adsense.

Pretty much every "tip" you would find in them are either just common sense, or could easily be found in forums.

It's like the guy who offer seminars on how to get rich and he gets rich from the seminars and nothing else.
