    Quote for accipiter

I just got a quote, for around 20 million adservs a month.

They charge around .09cpm. For a publisher mod its another .3cpm. Setup fee over 2000 and a setup fee of over 3,000 for the publisher mod.

So, 5K setup and .12cpm costs...

What should I do? This is about double what I planned on paying. Are there really any other solutions if I'm going to be serving up 15+million ads a month.

You could prob. get better rates from DoubleClick's DART. There is also 24/7 Open Ad Stream, Thruport's AdJuggler, Zedo, and Right Media's Yield Manager.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit crazy, .05cpm maybe, even .07, but .13cents is way too high.

Also considering I'm going to be more of an Ad Rep then a large advertising network.

I would agree. I wouldn't accept anything over $0.05 CPM as serving fees.
Tell them what you have seen elsewhere and they hopefully will give you a more reasonable quote.

    Reply from Accipiter

I contacted accipiter and told them that there is no way I could go a head with their 13.5 cent cpm charge and that some of the people I contacted offered .05 cpm or less. The reply I got is summed up here..

"So you are aware, I can be somewhat flexible on rate, as long as the
term of the agreement is in place (2+ yrs), however I know I can't drop
to a .05cpm for the volume you mentioned.
It's unfortunate that our rates won't fit into your plans."

So, I didn't even ask them to beat, or match the other offers I got from their competitors, but they didn't even supply a counter offer, I guess they don't want my business?
