    help with images on web page

    Ok people I have a question, I've been to several sites where they have an image say at the top that spans across the entire page leaving no margins on the sides, no matter what resolution you run at its still to the ends. So at first I think ok maybe its just a table 100%, page is set to 0 margins and its just the background color, then when I put my mouse over it right click properties its an actuak image not just a background color. SO does anyone know how to do this, please inform...Thanks
    Or maybe its just me for instance check out www.alienware.com now it looks like the left side is perhaps just a colored background on the table, but... how do they have it looking so exact to the image to the right. I hope this all made sense

    You can just use an image in the backround of the table or cell and then put a transparent image in the cell to retain its height.

    A good tip is to look at the source code of a web page you like

    In their <body> tag they have the following code

    bottommargin="0" leftmargin="0" topmargin="0" rightmargin="0" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0"

    As you can see the code is telling the browser to set the table without any margins which means the table will touch the top and sides. Also the table is set at 100%
