preloading a file

I am trying to pre load a file so when the link to it is clicked visitors don t get that download file window opening and then they have to wait. The file turn the screen into a fishtank and the mouse turns into a fish. I have tried a preload image script but I can t get it to work. Does anyone know how to do this. I am sorry but you can't preload an executable program. What you have is a Windows Screen Saver which is simply an executable with an .scr extension instead of an .exe extension.
