I am trying to write a script that allows visitors to rate the pages that I have linked to. How and where can I save the rating value and number of ratings so I can add to it when new ratings are input and display it when it a rating is requested. Also, is it possible to get the IP numbers of pages I link to and save them to determine which page visitors are refering to when they rate a page.
    Thank You

ok, I have just taken a crash tutorial in databases and will store the info that way. I will use JDBC to access the data bases.....
I still do not know how to get the IP addresses from the sites that will be rated. does anyone know how to get the IP numbers.
    Thanks again

Look for a reverse whois utility. It takes the domain name and finds the IP address for you.
