I have a dell inpiron 4000 which I just recently upgraded to win2000 from winME. I redownloaded WinDVD for 2000 and I can get the video rolling fine, but the audio is missing. I've checked and rechecked all winDVD properties and windows sound properties and everything checks out fine. I get system sounds and winamp to play just fine. I've tried reinstalling windvd, but nothing helps. Anyone have any ideas?
Did the DVD drive work with WinME? If so, then you probably don't have the correct Win2k drivers for it. Have you checked the manufacturer’s Website for possible driver upgrades?
yeah, the inpiron came with the dvd and winME, I went to dell for drivers and all they gave me was the windvd software. I checked the drive and it says it's working and that it is using windows 2000 dvd driver files.
