    Rails Tutorial

    Hi,

Could some informed sitepoint members post a tutorial to add to the list on the homepage? - that seems to include everything but Ruby / Rails

    It would be very helpful.

    Cheers,

    Cheers,
    what list and what homepage?

rails is extremely in depth and covers lots of ground.

    i purchased

    "Agile Web Development with Rails"

and it is well worth the money - even if you don't program a line of code in ruby, ever.

their framework is basically what i would've eventually arrived at given enough time to get that much experience and knowledge.

much of the philosophy applies to any programming language.

I was talking about the list of tutorials on the Sitepoint homepage,
Under the 'Topics' section on the left-hand side there's many tutorials for other languages / frameworks. I thought under Server Side Coding some Rails tutorials could be put up?

I've heard the framework is complex and powerful but still..
There has to be a 'simple' example that someone could walk through step by step to explain to the little guy with no Ruby / Rails prior knowledge.

I'll have a look at the book you suggested.

I was looking into buying that, I guess this seals the deal then.
