First word in a sentance bigger
Is there a way to make just the first word different without having a hard return after it?
i.e. larger, normal sized for the rest of sentance
rather then
larger
normal size for the rest of sentance

Put the word you want to appear differently in a <span>, give it a class (or ID) and style it how you want.

Thanks Tyssen
I have a new question now
Do the contents of a list seem to automatically have an indent, even the background of those contents. How much is this and is the best way to combat it with a -amount text indent or a -margin ?

If you don't want the indent, set the margin/padding on the ul and li to 0.
