Help! Christmas Present Buying

Hi Folks,

I just realised today that it's something like 5 days till Christmas and I've only bought one present so far!

The most important present I guess is for my new girlfriend but I don't have a clue what to get her! It must be very cheap though as I hardly have any money and need almost all of it to tide me over Christmas and New Year!

So, any suggestions?

I always say you can't go wrong with dairy products. Just don't buy them too far ahead though - especially in this heat.

I am thinking - go to The Body Shop and get them to make up a $30 gift basket - or get 30 dollars worth of stuff and buy a 2 dollar basket and get a friend to make it up - sound good? (unless anyone else has a better idea!)

I'm nearlly as bad as you, I only have 2 presents so far (which are both CDs so pretty boring) and have no idea what to get everyone else.

It looks like its going to be a Sunday and Monday job as I don't have any chance to go before.

New girlfriend eh, so I guess you'll be wanting to impress. Cds, Chocolate or Toiletries always go down well from my experience. I wouldn't get clothes or anything like that till you're sure you know what she likes.

The Body Shop is a great idea, I love the Body Shop. Anything from the White Musk or Oceania range is fab.

You know what feels really good... I finished my shopping about 3 weeks ago... ahhhhhhhhh.. its just such a great feeling.. now i dont want to rub it in or anything , but not only did i finish 2 weeks ago, i did a really good job with what i bought people, put alot of thought into it. I can't wait to see my g/f's face when she opens my present..

Yeah, I finished mine in November most of it is wrapped under the tree, except the stuff I am taking to Gibraltar, I cannot wrap it a sit needs to go through customs.

Mine's all done now too. Got the last couple of pressies on Tuesday. This is really good for me as I'm usually still running round at the last minute panic buying!

Chris, go with the Body Shop idea. You can't go wrong there - especially if it's beautifully presented.

If you're short on money, make her up a Coupon booklet of services. Backrubs, that kinda stuff. I did that for my girlfriend (now wife) back when we were both running short, and she loved that.....

Good, good, good.....very good. However, I'd avoide explicitly sexual stuff and focus on "services" that will stimulate her emotionally. Women love that!
