    News ticker

    Hi Guys,

    I've found a nice free Javascript news ticker:

    http://www.javascript-page.com/tickert.html

    Now, trouble is I want to make the headlines not get called from the javascript file, but from a MySQL database.

    Looking at it before I investigate futher would it be possible to do this in this script?

    If so how what are the logical steps to doing this?

    - IE changing the file from a .js to a .php file

    Then on this part of the script could I simply:

    var mymessage = new initArray(
    "<?php include("text_from_db.php");",
    );

    ?

    Thanks

    Without looking at the code I would say that you are on the right track.

    Normally when a script calls for a data array, that's what I do.
