    I have a page that I would like to use as an introduction page and then have it redirect to the actual site. I am a bit confused as to setting this up though. Does this page need to be index.html and is a script required to make it redirect over to the main portion of th site or can I simple insert a link to the main page?

    The main site is located at http://www.camohunter.com

    The intro page I want to use is located at http://www.camohunter.com/splash.html

    Please note there is going to a banner that pops up but this will be a non-issue next week since I will be upgrading to ad free hosting.

    Thank your for assistance.

    To have the intro page auto-forward to the main site, include the following in the header (between <HEAD> and </HEAD> ):

    <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">code/font><HR><pre>
    &lt;META HTTP-EQUIV="refresh" CONTENT="10;URL=http://yoursite.com/mainpage.html"&gt;
    [/code]

    The number is the delay in seconds, and the URL is the URL you want to forward to. You should also provide a normal link for people who want to skip ahead quickly or for those who have browsers that don't support timed redirection.

    Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think the HTTP-EQUIV only works with Internet Explorer. You might want to also type something like "If you are not redirected in X seconds, click here."

    Also, many search engines and directories DO NOT like redirect pages, especially if that's what your URL defaults to. You may have trouble listing your site.
