Wizard control and form validation!

Hi,
I have a three step process whereby I use the asp.net 2.0 wizard control. My form has a number of required field validators, but when I click the next button the page re-loads and then shows the validation summary! I am puzzled why the page reloads as previously the validation was client side!
Any ideas?
