Exclamation Website Directory Problem (Different One)

    Hello fellow Site Pointers,

I am designing a massive website. I have the regular html and image directory hierarchy on my computer. However, the bosses made this elaborate directory for me to follow on the server. So, instead of the simple directory I have, such as: htm in one folder and images in another, and swf in another,
they now have many different directories for each of the sections of the website.

It's easy enough to fix the links to the directories within Dreamweaver. However, the path back to the Image folder will be different from the server's Dreamweaver, than my computer's Dreamweaver path.

I don't want to work off of the server, since I want to test the pages first. On the other hand, I am putting place holders in place of where the photos will go, so what's the harm in working off of the server.

Is there anyway around this? I guess no,huh.

Is it an option to disregard the 'bosses elaborate directory'?
(are you talking about your team lead?)

I'm the new guy here. He is one of the team leaders. I guess I will have to work off the server.

If he's your lead, I would ask him for advice. It's not asking too much at all from him
