As i sit here feeling overwhelmed by all the languages i need to learn to get firmly on the path to a webdesign career.
Im wondering, Can any of you gurus out there tell me what order i should consider going in?
I figured HTML then javascript then perhaps PERL. as far as beyond that, im stiffled.
And all this im hearing about databasing is putting me in total shock! How about that? where do i begin there?
*whimper*
Every month or so there is always a discussion here about what languages to learn. I think you are right with our order so far except maybee squeeze in CSS somewhere. CSS is fairly easy and it only took me a day to learn it.
Perl is actually what I am learning at the moment and then after that I plan to go onto PHP as I have heard they are very similar.
So basicaly I think you should learn (Well that is the order I plan to do it):
<UL TYPE=SQUARE>
<LI>HTML
<LI>CSS
<LI>Javascript (although I skiped this one, but I will go back to it eventually.)
<LI>Perl
<LI>PHP (Including databasing)
</UL>
Hope That Helped
Fletch
