You may not have noticed, but sitepoint is slowly being over-ridden by regulars from Yahoo!'s Web Design:1 room. This thread is for those people when and if they decide to come out of the closet. Since Yahoo!'s chat service has become quite flaky of late it makes sense to have an alternate location (this thread) where messages and the like can be exchanged. After all, this is the "General Chat" forum :-)

I tried searching Yahoo, but there are just too many matches for Web Design 1.

Ok, here are the steps:

1. Create a Yahoo! account & log in @ http://chat.yahoo.com.
2. Click the "Enter Chat" link.
3. After the applet loads type "/join Web Design:1" (without quotes) on the text line and hit enter. This will take you to the Web Design:1 room.

There are also a number of 3rd party chat clients that can be used with Yahoo!'s chat system. The general favorates for Windows are Yahelite, CheetaChat and YChat. If you're on a UNIX or Linux machine you can use Curfloo.

Just suggestions mind you...if it's something fancy that i can't do myself then i'll just pester GBJK until he gives me a hand (i'm very good at pestering peeps)
