    You're right, you didn't get a reply. I was so impressed that I put you straight into the team. Sometimes, actions speak louder than PMs

    Enough of that! Disrespect from the team, the press and the supporters I can deal with but from my own vice-captain? Disgraceful. Don't forget it's me who put you where you are now and I can put you back there too!

    Some definitions of temperamental:

    moody: subject to sharply varying moods;
    erratic: likely to perform unpredictably;

    How can that be called consistent?

    You were in the team for both Test's and played very well.

    Cronweb 2 matches 4 innings 1 not-out 123 runs 41.00 avg 42.41 strike rate 51 high score

    You have probably done enough to retain your place, because as an allrounder, you also have 3 wickets for 28 runs (avg 9.33, econ 1.83). Best bowling is 2/8.

    BTW, did you play first-class cricket?

    I played in the same teams as people that did play first-class (Alex Morris, Richard Dawson) but got glandular feaver at 17/18 when i was about to join the Yorkshire Academy (i'd played for Yorkshire u13's, u15's & 17's) , kind of lost my way after that; i didnt play for two years and then was asked to play for a local club as i was walking round with the Mrs - scored 128 not out in my first game and numerous hundreds after that.

    But then in the last two years my form has suffered, my timing (which had always been my strong point since i wasnt the tallest person growing up) was way off, hence i had no real power in my shots - and as you know, cricket is 90% confidence. Shots i would whip off my legs for 4/6 we're being missed, i was getting bowled and leg before more than ever.

    I was just having trouble picking the ball up until it was on me, and when your facing quick australian pacemen, you dont have much time to begin with. I was dropped to 6th (!) and usually had to dig deep and graft hard to get anywhere.

    It was only when i had to quint to read the scoreboard that i realised there may be something wrong with my eyesight - turns out i was borderline for being able to drive without glasses.

    I didnt play this season, mainly because of my confidence - but now my eyes are sorted im looking forward to seeing if i can get back to dominating that league with the bat.

    ps. sorry, i didnt understand how this simulation thing worked, and still dont if im honest. But at least i added a few runs and took a few wickets.

    I'm waiting for confirmation from the SCA about our fixtures but we're playing Webhostingtalk (WHT) early in the new year and then we have the ODI World Cup. There maybe a practice game somewhere in there as well.

    If anyone would like more games let me know as I'm sure we can arrange something (can't we battye?).

    Cronweb, I enjoyed reading your post, it was a shame that you got glandular fever, I'm sure if that didn't hold you up for a few years you would have easily gotten into the Yorkshire firsts. I wish you the best of luck next season

    Sitepoint.com has no scheduled matches until the World Cup in January, which will shortly be followed by a series against Webhostingtalk.com.

    Sitepoint.com vs Webhostingtalk.com (February, 2007)
    1 Twenty20 International, 3 One Day International's, 1 Test
    Just finalising the schedule for the World Cup. When that is done, I'm sure a topic will be created here in the lead up to the SCA World Cup, which will include the scheduling. (I hope that made sense )

    Mike, definately, if you want to play games between now and the new year, just send me a PM with what you have in mind, and I am sure something can be arranged.
