include the following code in your head tags:
<!--
myfamily=new Image(200,200);
myfamily.src="myfamily.jpg";
family=new Image(200,200);
family.src="family.jpg";
//-->
And then your link:
<a href="family.htm" ONMOUSEOVER="image.src=myfamily.src" ONMOUSEOUT="image.src=family.src"><img name="image" src = "family.jpg" alt = "The Smiths" border = "0"></a>
