    Changing Window Properties

I want to change the size of a window and also want to change the visibility of scrollbars, statusbar, etc....

BUT, i do NOT want a popup. I want it to change it in the same window.

    How Do i do it?

    Thanks,
    Jim

    hi freejavahelp,

Resizing a window is easily done with 'resizeTo(x,y)'
I have never tried changing anything else because (if I remember right) it would not be crossBrowser. So, one workaround would be to use window.open with the values you want and close then close the parent window.

I was just going to suggest Vincent suggestion. That is the workaround I ended up doing for a similar idea on my site

yes, but the version of IE i have makes you agree to close the window, which is a bit of a pain, is this true for all browsers now?

    Thanks

I believe netscape just allows you to close it without any problems.

    Hi freejavahelp,

afaik, it will always ask -- some sort of security measure -- to be sure to you don't kidnap surfers I guess
