    Hello

Yes, you should only have 1 h1 tag per page.

Well, you can have as many h1 tags as you want and your code will still validate.

However - Page structure and heading hierarchies are very important when it comes to accessibility (for example blind users) and also search engine robots.

My advice would be - imagine what the headings and page structure would look like unstyled. In normal cases there would be no need for more than one h1 heading because usually there is one main heading at the top of the hierarchy which would be your h1. Then, the heirarchy follows with h2 headings, h3 etc. and further if needed.

No, it's not a crime. However, few pages warrant multiple H1s. If you have a single page that deals with three very different topics, you should have an H1 for each topic. In most cases, though, it's much better to split that into three different pages.
