Transition from PC to MAC
I'm going to be working on a Mac machine at work now. I've become comfortable using my PC for graphic applications (Illustrator, Photoshop) and I'm wondering if I'm going to get mixed up when I start pounding on the shortcuts on the Mac.
Should I try running an OS emulator on my PC to get a better feel for the operating system? Can you buy a PC keyboard with an option and apple key??
I looked into buying a Power Mac for home, but they are really expensive!$2,499.00 for a G4 867 Mhz and that's without a display!

Why'd they switch? Anyway, if I'm not mistaken, PhotoShop and Illustrator shortcuts are basically the same except command for control and option for alt.

If anything, the new keyboard shortcuts should be easier for you after you get used to it, as they're more consistent on the Mac, and some are easier to type (like the shortcut for closing a window).
I hear it takes 21 days for a new habit to take hold, so give it that long before you let any frustration get the better of you.
