    Another IE CSS error?

So far IE 6.0 has one CSS glitch already documented at alistapart.com.

    I might have found another.

The text on this page: http://www.dndcommunitycouncil.org/new/test.asp
    Sometimes will not display.

Can anybody first confirm that when they connect to the page the text isn't viewable?

After that I'll do some more tests to see why it's not working.

The text seems viewable to me in iE6 on Win 2K.

A screen shot is here. Is the how its supposes to be displayed? What exact problems are you having?

BTW, The sitepoint logo in the avatar was stolen from itecs wallpaper located here : http://www.sitepointforums.com/showt...threadid=41859

    Works great in Opera. :-D

There's another bug in IE that I noticed on the W3C's main CSS page. If you pass you mouse over the floating/position: fixed (which, by the way, doesn't position at all in IE) menu's links, none of the other links on that page work usually (as with Microsoft, they can't implement a bug consistently :-p). You'll have to reload to use the page! :-(

Thanks all for the test. Before the text on the page was not displayin at all. I did do a little mods after I posted this thread, but nothing that should have fixed that problem.

The only other problem with the page is the space between the navigation content, and the main content section of the site.

Any idea's? I haven't spent the that much time on it. It's a test page right now.

I love that avatar Glanplake. If there is a way to nominate somebody, I'd do it.

Cool, a table less design eh!

Do you mean the 3 or 4 pixel gap at the top undernearth the navigation bar. This could be remedied in your css file I expect, without seeing the orginal source for the page, I dont know.

Positioning of layers always made me scream, which is why I am a die hard tables fan now.

Once you start using table-less design you'll never go back.

So organized clean and extremly low file size. No more 40K HTM pages.

So far I've found that CSS can do anything that tables can do. I'm not a expert, just trying.
