    Question Form, hidden values submitted with javascript

    Hi everyone.

    I need to submit a form with a credit card number. When somoene hits their back button, I do not want the creditcard number to be there, and I do not want to use an <input type = "hidden"> either as the ccNumber would be in the page source.

    I know how to submit a form with javascript, what I need to know is how to add a value to the form with javascript, such that there is no trace left over...

    <Newegg does this, I am assuming they use javascript, however, looking at their javascript I did not see where they did this or where they are obscuring it.>

    Any Help would be appreciated
    Cheers
    Andrew

    Figured it out I think.

    form.action = form.action + "?ccNbr=" + form.cardNbr.value;
    form.cardNbr.value = obscureCCNbr(form.cardNbr.value);

    Form is submitted, CCNbr is secure on SSL and there is no record of the CCNbr to be found in the cache or history.

    Let me know if you see a flaw with this.

    Thank you
