    Quick CSS question - border

    Hi

    Ive got the following:

    Code:
    <div class="redundant"> <p><strong>Redundant Phones?</strong>				      <br>
    				      We will buy your redundant phones</p>
    					</div>
    I wanted to apply a background color and border to this div. Ive succeeded in adding the bg color but not the border.

    Heres the CSS i used:

    Code:
    .redundant {
    	background-color:#EBEBEB;
    	border: thick #666;
    	font-size: 12px;
    	padding-left: 10px;
    }
    Any reason why the border hasnt been applied?

    Thanks

    Try using "border: 10px solid #666;"

    Of course you can alter the thickness by changing the px value.

    If you want to manipulate the size / color of the 'sides/tops' of your box you can use...

    border-left: 1px solid red;
    border-top: 5px solid red;
    border-right: ...;

    Also, you can specify each attribute seperatly...

    border-color: red;
    border-top-color: red;

    etc...
