Creating Images with embedded color profile - possible?

This may be a dumb question but I have a client (photographer) that is using a really strange color profile when he saves images in Photoshop. He then uses an admin panel I created to upload them to his site, I auto generate a thumbnail and a 'web sized' image. Of course his strange color profile is being lost so the images are 'over saturated' (his words).

Is there a way to set this up in either PHP or the underlying ImageMagik so that all his images use this color profile?

again may be a stupid question but I need to know so I can tell him yes or no.

I'm no programmer but something like PHPThumb - http://phpthumb.sourceforge.net/ - has numerous options for image processing.

I have no need for a program, that is completely done. What I need to know is if there are setting in ImageMagik or some way of adding settings in PHP to embed this color profile

Proper colour profile conversion can be done with imagemagick + LCMS. I think I recall LCMS is built in to the windows IM install but not on linux by default. You need to convert from his colour profile to a standard RGB profile. Even without LCMS you may be able to adjust saturation and levels using imagemagicks standard capabilities.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for: http://de3.php.net/manual/de/functio...ofileimage.php
There are several more methods with "profile" in the name: http://de3.php.net/manual/de/class.imagick.php
