    error using getimagesize() - php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed

    Hey all,
    I recently changed servers. After the change, I started receiving the following error when callign the function getimagesize():

    Warning: getimagesize() [function.getimagesize]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Temporary failure in name resolution in /home/username/public_html/test.php on line 11

    Warning: getimagesize(http://www.domain.com/image/9602.gif) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/username/public_html/test.php on line 11

    I've set the permissions of the folder to 777. I'm guessing it has something to do w/ my PHP settings?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Try it with out a URL but a path.

    You Host might have allow_url_fopen turned off.

    ; Whether to allow the treatment of URLs (like http:// or ftp://) as files.
    allow_url_fopen = On
    Logic without the fatal effects.

    It works with the path. However, I prefer to put in URL.

    I just checked out allow_url_fopen is set to On.
