putting a curved border around spanky rounded corner expanding box (modification).

Hi guys im looking to modify the sitepoints spanky expanding box but i have no idea of how to add the remaining top, bottom, left and right sided repeater images for the sides to the box.

If you check out the link i have replaced my corner images with the border gif's instead of the solid colours but have tried and failed in adding any of the repeater sides, how is it possible to add these please..

or does anyone know where you can read up on such a technique?

    thanks for any help, dave

    RefineBox-LeftRepeater.gif
    RefineBox-TopRepeat.gif
    RefineBox-RightRepeater.gif
    RefineBox-BottomRepeat.gif

Can't bring any to mind, but I've seen a few examples / tutorials of this on places like A List Apart, etc. Have you checked the mighty Google?

From memory, the spanky corners technique uses the background colour of the box, so it doesn't cope well with borders.

Roger Johansson's Transparent custom corners and borders technique works well.
