    div height expand

    Hi,

Our site below has a right hand column with various links inside.
    http://www.clearancebathrooms.com/co...ors/doors.html

I would like to make the 'rhc' div height expand so that it always meets the footer, regardless of having any content inside.

Is there a cunning css hack for this?

    Thanks
    Neil

You're going to have to use faux columns and a background image.

A List Apart magazine has an article on this. A search for it at www.alistapart.com should turn up the article, since it's specific URL escapes me at the moment.

    Oh, and welcome to Sitepoint!

Many thanks for the swift reply and the welcome to Sitepoint.
That explanantion would seem to indicate that using images to 'appear' as columns is the way forward. I can see the validity in this but also i can see the pain of a redesign looming.

Yeah, it can be a pain in the neck to do. Which is why I reserve the use of faux columns for those rare situations where it is absolutely necessary.
