Internet Explorer does not support alpha-transparency in PNG images (I'm assuming you saved this as a PNG-24 file). However, Microsoft did include support for PNG files in Internet Explorer 7, which is due to ship in a few months.

In order to get Internet Explorer to use PNG files, you have to resort to scripting, either through JScript/JavaScript, or a combination of the two through a .htc file, some of Microsoft's proprietary CSS and a conditional comment.

Give me a few and I'll get the filter for you, along with the code to make it work, ok?

It is good to read. Until today, I had stoped using .png for my images and just used .jpg cuz of IE's not being able to support them. Glad to have saw this one.
