Question Writing a letter to experts

    Hi,

I'm currently in the process of writing my ebook and would like to invite experts to contribute their advice and expertise.

The big question is, how to i write and present my letter such that the experts are willing to help?

The experts i'm refering to are doctors in my case.

The easiest way i guess is to offer a fee but i'm no big company so thats out the question.

What should i say? what can i offer besides cash payment?

    Thanks

    How about recognition? or prestige?

"my ebook will be seen by tens of thousands of people"

The recognition and prestige are good points.

Also, I would give as many specifics as you can about the ebook - expected audience, word count desired for the expert's contribution, expected publication date, etc. How will you handle copyrights? If you've never done an ebook before, how can you reassure the expert that you'll complete it? (give brief description of other projects completed)

Also, make sure you thoroughly proofread your letter - any spelling or grammatical mistakes are going to hinder your chances of getting a response.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the input guys! Extremely helpful.

I guess the main obstacle might be credibility on my part. I'm no world reknown publisher. Convincing them might be a challenge.

But hey, we all have to start somewhere.
