    Positioning Div's

    Hi All,

    I tried using a template for site design that didn't render very well in
    Dreamweaver so I set about re-creating the design but have become a little
    stuck!

    Please take a look at the design, I have the menu and header of the design
    set out and have a content Div which is centreing the content!

    Problem I am having now is I want to add a text area Div, a Left hand
    sidebar and also a footer but I cant get the Divs withing the content layer
    that is holding everything in the middle of the page.

    Please take a look http://www.rlcoaching.co.uk/temp/

    Any help in getting those divs inside of the content Div and positioned
    would be very much appreciated!

    Many Thanks

    Paul

    Hi -
    Try something like this inside of the main_content <div>:
    Code:
    <div id="leftbar">
    <p>
    <a href="#" title="">LINK</a>
    ...
    </p>
    </div>
    <div id="stuff">
    <h1>Welcome to Site</h1>
    <h2>Sub-Heading</h2>
    <p>
    blah...blah...blah...
    </p>
    </div>
    <br style="clear:both;" />
    And adding to the css:
    Code:
    #main_content div#leftbar{
    width:200px; margin:0 auto; float:left;}
    #leftbar p{
    width:90%; margin:0 auto; font-size:80%; text-align:center;}
    /*...etc. for whatever's in here...*/
    #main_content div#stuff{
    width:576px; margin:0 auto; float:left;}
    #stuff p{
    font-size:70%; margin:0 auto; text-align:left; padding:10px 0;}
    /*...etc. for whatever's in here...*/
    Hope it helps to get you started,
