    Different in Firefox and IE

    Greetings,

    I'm a bit lost here.

    I have a page at: http://www.searchmarketingstandard.com/partner/

    * I had a designer that created the site, but I modified that page myself.

In Firefox, it looks great. But in IE, it's a bit uneven.

Can anybody help me out and let me know what's wrong?

    Boris

Basicly, everything is wrong. Sorry to be so rude. You have no DOCTYPE and many many html errors. CSS relies on valid html and without it you can't expect any rule to be applied in any particular way.

If your designer created the errors you got ripped off, and badly. Even if he worked for free.

Tear down and start again, is my advice. Not very happy advice, admittedly.

The rest of the website was designed by the designer and it works just fine.

However, I installed an affiliate script and was trying to customize it myself, so it's entirely possible that I made a few errors in the process on http://www.searchmarketingstandard.com/partner/

Can anybody assist me with getting that page working? I'd be more than happy to compensate you for your time, if needed.

Start by adding a proper doctype. SEe my link below. Use html4 strict.

I'm not really much of a technical person.

Can somebody that can fix it PM me? Once again, I'm more than willing to compensate you for your time.

Upload a version of your page with all the excess spaces between the lines of code removed and I'll have a look at it.

I've uploaded the header that's giving us the problems.

    * it's actually a PHP file, but I renamed it to .txt extension.

    Thank you in advance.

Start by adding a proper doctype.
    Replace
    <html lang="en" xml:lang="en" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    by
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN"

Remove font-size: 70% from td (or change the value there)
Then fix the html errors and the css error
