    Checking Mysql Database for Username

    Hi,

    I am trying to execute a query in mysql using javascript to check the username isnt taken, but dont know how. Could you help?

    First of all you need a server side script to check if a given username is in the database and output a message, or whatever you think is good to indicate the presence of username.

    Then you can call this script in js and get that result. This example shows how to do that.
