Google indexing and Domain name redirects

I registered a domain name (let's call it domain2.com) that redirects to my current site (www.domain1.com/domain2). So the files for domain2 are hosted in a folder on domain1.

Is there a way to submit a sitemap for domain2 to google in this situation? And as far as Google indexing the pages, does domain2.com even exist?

I've got a very similar situation on my hosting. Don't know about sitemaps, but I can tell you how its been indexed from my experience, which, frankly is very poorly.
doing site:domain1.com/domain2 returns no results, doing site:domain2.com returns homepage only.
A few months ago I had domain2 as the primary domain on my hosting, and it was indexed nicely, then I decided to go with the other domain as primary, put in 301s to all the new pages, but still all but the homepage is dropped.
I don't think its really a great way to do things at all, so roll on a few weeks when a student loan payment means I can afford better hosting with addon domains!
