    Hi,

There's something I don't understand: why does a table with a width of 100% end up being too large for a 640x480 screen? 100% was, I thought, a relative turn...that it just makes it the length of the browser...

If the contents of the table are too big, it will still be wider than the browser window.

Thats all? As long as the content isn't too big, the table will go all the way across the screen?

If the content isn't too big, the table should fit to the size of the screen.

Sometimes if tables are set up a certain way, it will be thinner than the screen on netscape.

Keep in mind that the WIDTH attributes in table tags serve to define the minimum width of the element. If the content of your table is such that the browser can't use word-wrapping to fit it into the width of the screen, the table will be bigger.

Also if you do not set your margin widths to 0 then both browsers will have a little space on each side of the table. Unless of course its larger than 100%.
